The Spotted Boxfish or White-Spotted Boxfish is a species of boxfish found in the Indian and Pacific Oceans. Various members of the boxfish species are able to defend themselves by secreting a toxic mucus from their skin. The mucus quickly dissolves in the environment and negatively affects potential predators nearby.
