This NFT collection consists of a series of expressive works that explore the many layers of human identity. Each painting depicts a fragment - an emotional state, a mask, an inner conflict - in a cubist, fragmented formal language. The works are raw, direct and deliberately unembellished. They do not tell a linear story, but seem like fragments of the soul - between vulnerability and protective mechanism. The style oscillates between expressionism, surrealism and digital neo-figurativity. The central question is: Who am I - and who am I when I am seen? Colors clash, faces splinter, voices whisper in the surface. AMAWE uses mixed media - analogue and digital - to visualize the incomprehensible: the inner voice, the inaudible scream, the lived chaos. The collection is not intended as a linear series, but as an emotional archive. A digital museum of the fragmented personalities of our time.

Spirit

Split identity

With expressive force and psychological depth, amawe reveals the inner tension between lived identity and external appearance in this work. The fragmentary composition quotes cubist forms and expressionist colors, deliberately blurring the line between human and mask. A work about breaking, hiding and speaking - through silence. The work thematizes identity, conflict and masking. The left side of the face shows an inner chaos, a hodgepodge of impressions, thoughts, feelings - the raw human. The right side is calmer, colder, controlled - almost like an artificial persona or protective mask. Perhaps the artist is talking here about the tension between what we feel and what we show - about the fragmented self in an age of sensory overload. It could also be about mental health, trauma or living with different “masks”. The work shows an abstract cubist composition of two faces superimposed in a single head. The left half of the face is chaotic, almost like a swirl of lines, shapes and colors - green, red, yellow, black, white - fragmented and wild. In contrast, the right half appears clearer, almost machine-like: a monochrome blue area with a stylized red eye and a dark mouthpiece, almost like a respirator or an exhaust pipe. The structure is reminiscent of masks - human and artificial at the same time. Styles: The work is strongly influenced by Cubism and Neo-Expressionism, with a touch of Surrealism. It is reminiscent of Picasso in its fragmentation and Jean-Michel Basquiat in its emotionality. Technique: Mixed media on paper or canvas (probably paper): Acrylic paint, oil pastel or wax crayon, perhaps also lino printing or stamping technique for certain structures (especially visible in the green area). Rare 1/1 NFT of a 2001 original (unique, single piece). Hand-signed by the artist Adrian Maria Weiss (amawe).
