The sun’s rays blazed down onto the savannah, drying up the last remnants of the morning rain. By high noon, the heat had become unbearable. A few rays pierced through a water droplet, focusing intensely and igniting the dry grass below. As the small flame rose, insects, rodents, and larger animals scattered in panic. Chaos overtook the savannah—except for one. It wandered calmly, unaffected, and then cast its gaze toward us with a knowing wink. Flames were reflected in its eyes.
