The First Knit NFT By Carmel Snow This piece is a hand knit - crocheted - woven remix of regenerative plant ropes and yarns made of of cactus and agave as well as fishing ropes that I collected in Sian Ka’an beach south of tulum. I made a textile of physical materials collected from the local land that can either decompose back into the earth or are collected garbage from the beaches making the ecosystem even a little bit more clean. These elements are all mixed together to create this piece that is physically installed at papaya playa project in tulum and presented irl with the tulum crypto fest while also stepping into the virtual world as an nft textile creation + presentation .
